One of the aspects I cherished most as an EMDR trainee in consultation working towards becoming fully trained and an EMDRIA Certified Therapist, was the support my trainer and consultant provided me to learn.
The fidelity to EMDR therapy protocol my trainer and consultant demonstrated and encouraged me to practice, has enabled me to successfully and confidently implement a standardized protocol and procedure for special situations; as well as, cognitive interweaves as a proactive strategy to complete blocked processing.
I will offer guidance and feedback to promote best practices and support, rather than directives for the independent practice of my Consultees. It is for this reason that I am working to be an EMDRIA Approved Consultant.
Group Consultation creates the ideal learning and networking environment; especially if you are interested in EMDR Certification. Of most value, you'll cultivate professional relationships that will continue to support your goals generally and specifically as an EMDR practicing clinician. At the very least, you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate clinical skill in order to easily obtain a colleague recommendation letter required for certification.
Group Consultation is closed and consists of five Consultees. Group runs during the course of two months and meets every two weeks. This will allow you to earn 10 of the 20 hours needed for Certification in two months time!
Time and time again, EMDR therapy protocols have clinically proven to be the most effective and efficient therapy to remediate overt suffering as an evidenced-based approach. As a Consultant-in-Training, I am committed to offer a learning experience to my Consultees in order to increase confidence in practice and promote likelihood to actually implement EMDR and thus, exponentially contribute to its success.
